Formatting a Word file

I have done this : copy paste an excel file and jpg file into a word file instead of paste picture. what i did makes a huge file. if i had done the paste picture, it would have been small in size. is there any way i can convert all the excel and jpg files in the word file at a time so as to reduce the total file size. there are too many of these in my report it is very hectic i want to convert one by one.

i can convert this to PDF. can i convert it back to word from PDF ?

Yes, if you have the full version of Acrobat... Oen the PDF and save as RTF. Then open the RTF in Word and save as a Word file - -Remember this needs the full version of Acrobat.
