Explosives recovered from Mumbai railway station, diffused
Saturday March 11 2006 17:32 IST

MUMBAI: An explosive device suspected to be a crude bomb was found at a Mumbai railway station on Saturday, sending the public and the authorities into a tizzy.

The device was lying in a toilet at the Byculla station in south Mumbai and was taken to the Girgaum Chowpatty seaface where it was defused, police said.

The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai Police reached the spot after receiving an anonymous call about a suspicious object lying unclaimed for a few hours on platform number one.

It was defused through a controlled explosion by the squad and left a small crater on the seaface after explosion, police said. Samples of the explosive have been sent to a forensic laboratory for examination, they said.

Police in the entire metropolitan city, particularly at places of worship and vital installations, were put on high alert following the twin blasts at Varanasi that claimed 15 lives and injured over 100.

Mumbai, the financial and entertainment capital of India with a 17-million strong population, has often been targeted by terrorists in the past few years.

Close to 300 people were killed in a series of blasts in the city in 1993. Fifty-two people were killed in another series of blasts in the city in 2003. Eleven were killed the same year in blasts in a local train

well, well well ! It does not die, does it? If we close our eyes and think that the problems might go away? or when we think , if we do not even think, the problem might not exisit?

huh? Imagine a suicide bombing in Nampally station or Kachiguda or in Sec'bad station? or in Begumpet airport? or in the middle of ameerpet? what makes you think that it might not happen in hyderbad? Moreso, when it did happen it Begumpet, in the offices of a police officer !

As Indians we need to condemn it such acts of terrorists. Take out processions and condemn it, all of us- hindus, muslims, sikhs ..... One thing we can learn : whatever the anti cartoonists did, all over the world we can do it too, to put fear into the psychs of the terrorsits. Do whatever it takes .. not just processions, anything that is required, with passion. Afterall, this is 'our' country.

whoever is doing this is using our passions 'against each other'. We find that on our own DB's here!

If we guys, those of us who are against it- look at the problem, admit the problem, identify it as a problem, then think of the solution and ACT upon it in unity, it is then when the creeps who are doing this within our country will be exterminated.

Until then parmatama jane, khuda jane kya hoga !

We as Indians not onle need to condemn it , but also get to the bottom of the truth, rather than looking it through the Saffronised prism of Hindutva as somebody put it earlier , we should analyze it as to who gains from these things becuase the law of nature is that the person who gains from something does it and you can see who gains the most from the varanasi incidents , last but not least raisng false alarms with plentiful usage of words like "allegedly","suspectedly" , "supposedly" should also be avoided..

There you go again !! do not point fingers at the other religions nor at your own. Simply condemn what happened as a person belonging to whatever religion you belong to. The other religion guys do not become defensive when you do not attack them.

Lets try out this method foremost, Buzurg jab kuch kahan karte hain tab sunna karr, puttar !

All I am saying that is the most easiet way people make conclusions I am not poitng fingers towars any religion including Hinduism which I have already said many times in my earlier posts ,which I believe is a very peaceful and liberal religion without any restrcition on its practioners who can choose to follo wtheir own path ,but the only thing that I am trying to say or have people look at it from all the angles and take all the possibilities in to consideration...who gained the most from the Varanasi incidents ,be honest and think about it.

When I point out to the fact that RSS/VHp and BJP are fundamentalist hardline terrorist organizations using Hinduism in their own way which they call Hindutva to influence and brainwash the common man ,with a very hegemonious view towards others I in no way intend to say that Hinduism is so and so ,but its only the RSS products and its sympathizers who are degrading Hinduism by equatiing RSS VHP and other fundmentalist organizations with Hinduism ,the difference between you and me is you say RSS/VHP/BD/BJP etc.=Hinduism and I say RSS<>Hindusim.
