It's by this guy called Hayao Miyazaki. He makes amazing Animated movies with simple watercolour images. They're usually based on fantasy. This one is about The Spirit of the Forest and some baddies trying to kill it.

all devotees chadao prasad to CADeshwara 8)

sometimes, even the intention to chadao a prasad is enuf....it need not actually materialize...but devotees are warned against making it a habit

I was so happy to see 36 replies on this thread. And all I get is spam.

Well...FYI.....I did try this.....and it works stupendous. I did it on the comp though...removed the soundtrack from the movie dat and then added the DSOTM soundtrack to it. It was an experience of a lifetime (though I can't say it'll be the same for everyone....you gotta have taste ).

Unfortunately, I did it on a feckin P-III and it would take a mammoth 18 hours to rerender. So, the thing died a lonely death on the comp I'd rented out.

If someone has a good P-IV with HT, I can get the software and the other works..and can make VCD's out of it. Please do let me know.

I was under the impression that this DB has quite a few movie buffs and rock fans. Unfortunately, I see that my understanding was wrong. All this talk about being big movie buffs etc. is just a showoff. All I can see is spammers.

FYI....there is a separate thread about movie nights...if the esteemed members are suffering from any opthalmic disorders, here's the link...

http://www.fullhyd.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?t=39875

Now...this thread was started with the intention of sharing something that I felt would be interesting for ppl who like movies and rock. If at all you folks wanted to plan out a get-together or trade gifts, you could have used the existing thread or started a new one.

My last couple of messages and the lack of response to them show that nobody was really interested in the topic in question. Now, I'm sure to get a lot of responses like Jaane do yaar, hota hai, Laaaaiiiit or it was just some harmless spam done in jest...ignore it etc. Before posting such lameass responses....rethink. Would I share something similar again? No...because I feel that ppl here don't really deserve it. All they deserve is a higher PC and the self-glory that goes with it.

Coming to think of it....I considered myself a narcissist. I was wrong there too. You guys beat me fair and square at that. I won't waste any more of my time here. AFAIC....this topic is closed for me.

Hey HP saar, aisa nahi hai. I got intriguied (dont mind my spellings ) and ran a search on a P2P software for "The Wizard Of Oz" and there were files with the syncing already done :D, so thank you for that. Its downloading now and when it is finished I will let you know :)

Sure...if you need any help with creating VCD's for it, you're welcome...provided you have a P-IV. :)

I'm being a bit selfish here as even I need a VCD for the synched version.

I have a P III, but its doing pretty well, I even managed to burn reasonable VCDs of Gladiator , only problem being it came in a 4:3 Aspect Ration and I wanted a 16:9, but my TV did that 4 me :D

Sorry HP bhai if you were pissed

Anyways....I read this piece of trivia quite some time ago and just threw it outta the window because there is so much of this kinda "wierdness" around Pink Floyd it's spooky.

Apparently they wanted to do something like this intentionally with Monty Python.

I wonder if this Wizard of Oz thing is coincidental or done on purpose. Any idea??

From what I read, it seems that Waters had this very much in mind while composing DSOTM.
