Cash compensations for Bhopal survivors

Is money such a big force. Is money the only healer.

IS MONEY GOD. OR HAS OUR SEARCH LED US TO GOD WHICH ACTUALLY MAYBE MONEY ITSELF?

What is Money??

Maybe his Father his Son god knows how he was a victim. 10 yrs on all is forgotten for a DVD player ?

The commercial gurus banking on this.

Heard of banks opening Kiosks near compensation centres.

Would they have lent money when a dying victim needed it, would this businessman have invested in devastated Bhopal. Today compensation money has dragged them in.

How much we Indians and the world did for such an immense tragedy.

And How it happens in the other parts of the world.

The Political Parties, The Australian people will ensure that every Victim is paid. If the same company were in India, it would have been a cake walk.

Just walk out by throwing peanuts at them and they will accept. After all its those people in the third worl!!!!

For once I agree with you. In India, tts very easy to comitt a crime and get away from it, esp if you are a multi national company.

ex- Union Carbide chief Warren Anderson lives in florida and US state dept claims that they cant find him. He should be arrested for homicide, but neither the Indian govt. nor the US govt. cares.

Not just UC, there are several companies which donot follow regulations in India or bypass them. Take coke for instance, they have been draining under ground water resources around their plant in karnataka and the wells in the vilalges are drying up. In US they are not allowed to draw water from ground. They shld set up a plant near rivers. I guess the government should clamp down on such companies, but their lobbying stops the govt from passing any such regulations.
