at a point i thought i was the only one who did nt really like the music these guys make, but going by the fact that i dont really like Pinkfloyd, for which most of the guys here would disagree with me about their music, i did nt feel surprised.

boyzone, U2, cranberries, you guys are making me feel like i'm at home!

ps. i'd like to officially apologise to the people of India for boyzone and westlife, Irelands most regretable exports.

the current decade. they're bigger than boyzone, saw them on TV here a few times. this must mean they haven't made it to Aus. thats good.

They're from my county, i went to school with one of 'em. good singers but about as original as a stephan segal movie. embarrasing

For Abba, or Ace of Base? The swedes have a lot to answer for too. European music in general is pretty weak recently.

Have any of you guys ever seen the Eurovision song contest? Its hilarious, stuck in a total timewarp, and not in a good way. utter shite.

Quite entertaining in a strange way.

Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

The singer is awesome, the guitarist is good and the basslines are catchy and mindblowing and good lyrics. A perfect recepie that makes Junnon a very good band.

THANK YOU BLACKWIZARD..

i see some people here have taste in music.. :D

these guys are awesome ok...

i knw they r not vey popular in india....coz they havnt been promoted right in india....but if u hear Ali's vocals...the guitar work by Salman Ahmed is unbeatable...if there r any guitarists here...they would know how hard it is to copy Salman bhai....

Yeah, its refreshing to see a guy who doesnt hate on a band simply because its popular with the girls.

Hmmm BW, I just realized this is the first time we actually agreed on something! And we have Junoon to thank for that.

Speaking of which.....I havent heard a whole lot of their stuff. Basically just Mukh Gaye and Balma (Akidna, I really love this song too--thanks for advising me to take a listen). And judging them from these 2 songs, they definitely are talented and will be around for a long time coming.

cunnon...they r good, but 'best' is an exaggeration! talking of Paki bands, IMO, Strings is as good. and i dont agree with their website that calls them the best in South Asia etc. Indian Ocean and Parikrama produce far superior music....but i agree Junoon is better than Euphoria :D

and the other thing i dont seem to understand is as to since when did junoon become a southy aisan band? 2 of the guys are american bred, and when they first started, they had a non south asian guy to play the leads.

As for Junoon, they are simply AWESOME!!! I could go on and on about them, but it would not matter. Just listen to Heer, Heeray.

In fact, once you listen to the complete albums of Junoon, you will discover some very original music. Then you will like those songs better than the ones like Sayonee and Mera yaar (which are good too)

sorry Sherri, i was talking about Ace of Bace when i said music in europe is weak. Abba are pop legends obviously (i can't stand their music though, makes my eardrums bleed. i feel that way about most pop, except for the Beatles). ilso i think "churned out" was one of the most reveiling phrases in your post :)

 . Cudnt hunt up any other words. Forgive me gavraani (country) english.

Ace of Base is shit. But i did like their Happy Nations album. Contained nice tracks like All that she wants, the sign, etc.

That is one cooool song!

Try One Of Us. Incredible lyrics! But a very sad one. Some other good and sad ones (I am not mentioning any pop/disco ones, becoz they are all popular):

The Winner Takes it All (Supreme song!)

Hasta Manana

Like Old Friends Do ( :!: )

Happy New Year

A pop song very few have heard is Angel Eyes. That is also a great song.
