Best Album Ever

by Sharjeel » Sun Nov 21, 2004 1:36 pm

Which was the best Album you ever bought? The album should have totally awesome songs, and you would not have (had) to cue any song. Also please give a small description of the album.

'Best Of' compilations do not count, as also albums that are too 'hat ke'.

After a few weeks, people can read this thread and get a good guide to the best albums ever released.

Album: Made In India

Singer: Alisha Chinoi

Music: Biddu

Lyrics: Alisha

Standout Songs: Made In India, Lover Girl, Dil, Ooh lala.

Description: One of the most popular albums ever in the Indian pop market. Made In India was the Biddu comeback album. Each and every song of the album was a mega-hit

The stupendous success meant that the two came back with another album, but it bombed.

its the first album of a band, whose only claim to fame till then was singing the odepus phrases at whiskey a go go. this album made them legends and jim a demi god. this is one album which dictated the glory of the band even 33 years after the death of the lead singer.

light my fire was voted the best song of teh 70 s and also one of the top 10 songs of the century.

the other remarkable songs from this album include alabama song, soul kitchen, the end, crystal ship and backdoor man.

also established jim morrison as one of teh greratest post modern poets/philosopher.

my fave album in recent times is "BIG WILLIE STYLE" by Will Smith....:D

almost all the rap numbers in it are first rate. the album also includes his chart-busters like "Miami", "Jiggy wit it", "Men in black".

You should listen to the whole albums. The other songs are generally better than the 'popular' ones.

:? Do movie albums and such qualify? Or does it have to be a music group?

The Sopranos (first season) songs

and Kill Bill Vol 1 (esp "Bang! Bang! He shot me down" and "Twisted Nerve")

LOVE that song. Love it! Love it! love it!

for the second album, I present

Album: Deewana

Artist: Sonu Nigam

Music: Sajid-Wajid

Lyrics: Faaiz Anwar

Standout Songs: Tera Milna, Kuchh Tum Socho, Dil Se Dil, etc.

An absolute treat of an album All the songs were hits. You will love this album. The magic was due to Faaiz Anwar lyrics. Sonu tried another album after this, but it did not live up to the quality of Deewana.

best album of all time for me, Stg. Peppers lonely hearts club band, by The Beatles, even the 1 or 2 songs that aren't works of genius start to sound great after a while. it feels more like a novel or something, like there's a whole world in there.
