Guys n gals

Do you know of any site to get salary info for Hyd? I have been looking for work & the first company that got back to me asked me about salary expectation & I haven't got a clue what the going rate for a Software QA Tester with 5 years experience is. Would appreciate some input to get a rough idea.

hi

i too faced a similar issue..though my experience was not that much..

i used a rule of thumb...

add a lakh to ur salary if ur experience is more than 3 years for every year above 3 years....if ur in a HOT technology...

well i speak from a consultant POV.

well...some one in the same field, i can tell u that it depends on the company. for your experience level u can safely ask between 4.25 to 5.50 lakhs per annum...again as i said, it varies from company to company and on your role too. but u have the advantage of foreign experience, so if u bargain right, u might get some more.

if u PM me the company name, i will try to get an approx figure for you (if i know someone in that company ie).

my humble views San...i am not from techie back ground.....gave u info frm a functional guy persp. ..anyways..i guess CAD has quoted lower range...it can be higher...

many companies offer this range as a starting point. its up to the candidate to negotiate. depending on the role and designation, the final salary is arrived at.

i wish our resident IT HR-waali Arti madam wud say something here...when she finishes despatching her tsunami relief material
